Purchase A Miniature Set Of Drawers And Hangers
Purchase a miniature set of drawers to use for storing doll clothing and accessories. Separate clothing by style, and fold garments, before setting them inside of drawers. Create a list of all of the clothing items that your daughter owns, so she can keep up with the items, and ensure that she hasn't lost any of the garments, after each time that she plays with her dolls.
Purchase small, plastic hangers, and use them to hang dresses, coats, slacks, or other garments that you do not have room for inside of the chest of drawers. Hang the hangers from a thin rod that is installed in your daughter's closet.
Launder And Iron Clothing Prior To Storing It
When clothing needs to be laundered, place the garments in a mesh laundry bag, before securing the end of the bag. The bag will prevent items from becoming lost or stretching, while they are being laundered. Wash the clothing with mild detergent inside of a washing machine that is set on a delicate cycle.
After clothing has dried, use an iron to lightly press fabric that is wrinkled. Instruct your daughter to immediately put the clothing away, so the fabric remains dry and wrinkle-free, and outfits will be ready for her to put on her dolls, when she would like to change their outfits.
Add Furniture And Lights To The Display
If your daughter owns furnishings for her dolls, set the ensemble of furnishings up on a dresser, shelf, or other surface that your daughter is using to display the dolls on. Seat the dolls on the chairs, so they are all facing each other. Arrange decorative items on and around the furnishings to enhance the display.
If your daughter would enjoy looking at the dolls with additional lighting in her room, install a drop light or LED tube light over the display. Your daughter can plug the lighting in whenever she would like to add visibility to the display. At other times, she can unplug the lights and enjoy looking at the display.
